Ein Bedeutungsübergang zu ‘Waren wechseln, handeln’ und damit eine semantische Trennung der Verben mhd. tūschen und tiuschen dürfte sich bereits im Mhd. anbahnen, vgl. mhd. rostūschen ‘Pferdehandel treiben’, rostūscher ‘Pferdehändler’
