Check out or NOMAN’s Trading Guide for more generalized guidelines for trading in the ‘Verse.
For better comprehension, we recommand to study the guide. We use specific language throughout.
In the guide, we also listed a variaty of things to consider, as well as tips & tricks, which you don’t keep redundant.
The Basics Link to heading
According to UEX, there are 7 locations in Stanton that buys Degnous Root for 63k/SCU + It’s a 1:1 #BatchBuy on #BatchSell per location. According to UEX, you can buy Degnous Root at 3 locations throughtout the ‘Verse. For a simple #TradeRun, you go to all 3 buying locations - buy everything there is and deliver it to Stanton.
But we don’t do simple - we go Max In / Max Out!
Based on #BatchBuying and #BatchSelling it’s not a 1:7, it’s a 3:7. Nevertheless, the maximum is 7x 24x 2SCU = 336 SCU’s - what means: if you really want to do one #TradeRun, you’ll need to calculate the invest (moneywise) but also the ships gridded or off-gridded cargo capacity.
Weird enough - seein the cargo stats, the 890 Jump is the ship with the amount of gridded cargo capacity comes to the closest to what is required to the “Degnous Root” Issue #TradeRun. But all ships, haulers or not, have an off-grid capability.
For utilizing auto-unload - only 48 SCU’s are required. But to transport 336 SCU’s - you’ll need to have a ship with the off-gridded capability of 336 SCU’s in the form of 2 SCU boxes.
Ships - we recommand - we have Link to heading
This is a simulation of the #trade run of an Interstellar TradeRun primarily not hostile to Citizens for Prosperity (CfP).
Ships if recommendation or the ships we use: the RSI Constellation Taurus / Anvil Asgard (for “beginners”).
Some people swear on the Raft, we don’t. The latest RSI Hermes does a decent job, but we don’t have one in our fleet. The Drake Golem OX you can use as a shuttle, if you need extra punishment. We use these ships as cargo shuttles.
- The Taurus has a 168 SCU gridded cargo capacity on the cargo bay and is considered to be a medium ship - off-grid 200 SCU.
- The Asgard has a 180 SCU gridded cargo capacity on the cargo bay and is considered to be a medium ship - off-grid 340 SCU.
- The Raft has a 192 SCU gridded cargo capacity on the cargo bay and is considered to be a medium ship - off-grid 200 SCU.
- The Hermes has a 288 SCU gridded cargo capacity on the cargo bay and is considered to be a medium ship - unverified 500 SCU..
- The Starlilfter M2 has a 522 SCU gridded cargo capacity on the cargo bay and is considered to be a large ship - off-grid 800 SCU.
- The Starlilfter C2 has a 696 SCU gridded cargo capacity on the cargo bay and is considered to be a large ship - off-grid 100 SCU.
- The Railen has a 640 SCU gridded cargo capacity on the cargo grid and is considered as a large ship.
- The Ironclad Assault has a 1440 SCU gridded cargo capacity on the cargo bay and is considered to be a large ship - unverified off-grid 2400 SCU.
- The Ironclad Standard has a 2200 SCU gridded cargo capacity on the cargo bay and is considered to be a large ship - unverified off-grid 2400 SCU.

- 100 million aUEC of investment and liquidity to start with (enough funds to keep you liquid)
Strategies To Consider - or Principles Link to heading
- Practice is king! Especially Multi-Tool, MaxLift and Ships Tractor Beam as well as ATLS.
- Never fly empty!
- Store the boxes at space stations, each station offers 5000 SCU (per player)
- For big quantities or box sizes, utilize bigger cargo ships (Ironclad, Starlifters, Caterpillar, Hermes) – loan before buy, rent before buy, and eventually buy the ship - in that order
- Calculate the inventory cycles
- Respect the Patch Drop cycles - commodites not sold, will be lost
- The route as well as the risk matters!
Things To Consider Link to heading
- Buy & Load at Pyro’s outpost to reduce loss through piracy and bugs
- Store at Pyro’s space stations, before you deliver mass quantities to selling locations
- Batch Buy in Pyro for storing the boxes at space station
- Batch Sales in Stanton for maximum satisfaction
- Bigger boxes means less tractor beaming work – unfortunetly, Degnous Root is only available in 2 SCU boxes
- Smaller boxes tends to more profit per SCU
- Loading a bigger ship takes a lot of effort, do that in safe & secure space stations
- Bring a partner - for tractor beaming help, cover your back and reviving, remote turrets or as a second pilot (escort), or just a second inventory
- Consider Mass Trading/Dilemmas as a ““long term”” investment with no instant gratification
- Your driving force is greed no more but focus, consistency, efficiency, strategy and logistics

Planning & Logistics Link to heading
Then it comes to planning, you’ll need to distinguish between ecnomomics, logistics and risk. We primarily choose lower risk, but taking higher effort - effort vs. reward. CIG and RSII rather talk risk vs reward.

The Route V2 Link to heading
The route, can start in Nyx to Pyro, and from there to Stanton. This is what we do, based on the the cost of the commodities, we buy. Wen it comes to safety - meaning, reducing risk: the route could be opposite way. Were Canard View is the longest distance form Pyro to Nyx Gateway, and Shepherd’s Rest is midway through, buy & load and store at Orbituary would make sense. Once all batches are loaded, heading from Orbituary to Nyx Gateway to the Nyx System to load the remaining boxes, from there heading to the Stanton System. Seeing this - this may chance the whole selling route.
