We consider an occupation like the etymology reveals. A poossession. It possesses us, the idea, the doin, the necessity, bein a part of an ecosystem and be meaning full. Within the ‘Verse, we consider occupations a pursuit of action, a #passion not rely on contracts and therefore no thirdparty is involved.

Assasinating Link to heading

Assassination missions require the player to kill a specific NPC target. Multiple players can be assigned the same target, and only the one who bags the kill is rewarded. There is also a time limit on taking them down.

Bounty Hunting Link to heading

Bounty hunting is a profession in which the player is tasked by various organizations to hunt down either hostile NPCs or other players. Currently bounties are limited to simply killing your target, however there are plans to introduce taking live bounties later on in development.

Crafting is a new feature in Star Citizen that allows players to create items using materials that they have gathered or purchased. Crafting can be used to create a variety of items, including:

Weapons: Weapons can be crafted using a variety of different materials, such as metals, minerals, and chemicals.
Armor: Armor can be crafted using a variety of different materials, such as metals, minerals, and textiles.
Ships: Ships can be crafted using a variety of different materials, such as metals, minerals, and chemicals.
Tools: Tools can be crafted using a variety of different materials, such as metals, minerals, and chemicals.
Consumables: Consumables can be crafted using a variety of different materials, such as food, water, and medicine.

Crafting is a complex and rewarding process that will allow players to create powerful and unique items.

Base Building is a new feature in Star Citizen that allows players to build and customize their own bases. Bases can be used for a variety of purposes, such as:

Storage: Bases can be used to store items, such as materials, weapons, and ships.
Crafting: Bases can be used to craft items, such as weapons, armor, and ships.
Living: Bases can be used to create living spaces, such as bedrooms, kitchens, and bathrooms.
Socializing: Bases can be used to meet with other players and socialize.
Defense: Bases can be used to defend against enemies.

Hauling contracts involve transporting cargo for a third party. You deliver goods from one location to another. Each contract has different cargo types, quantities, and distances. You can choose jobs based on your ship’s capacity and your preferences. Many players like hauling because it has lower risks than trading or mining.

Mercenary Link to heading

The mercenary career is most suitable for players that are interested in on-foot FPS combat. The mercenary offers up their combat skills and services to various organizations and individuals for hire. Compared to bounty hunting where there is usually a single target, mercenary missions usually requires the player to defend or clear an entire area of AI combatants. Mercenary missions can be legal or illegal in nature, depending on the mission giver.

Mining is the extraction of minerals or other materials that are found on various planets, moons, and asteroids to be sold for profit. Mining is done primarily with ship-mounted mining equipment, or with hand-held mining tools; and can be done in open space, on a planet/moon, or underground. Minerals that can be obtained through mining include both productive and exotic materials, such as Agricium, Corundum, Diamond, Gold, and Titanium.

Across the UEE, piracy is on the rise. Interstellar larceny and shipjacking have become increasingly regular occurrences, and not just in fringe systems. More and more civilians are feeling the tightening grip of the spreading pirate threat as outlaws become more brazen and expand their operations into sectors once considered safe.

Salvaging Link to heading

Salvaging is process of locating and processing mechanical debris and abandoned or destroyed vehicles. The goal is to turn a profit through the sale of detached components, Recycled Material Composite (RMC) stripped from the surface of vehicle hulls and debris, and the remainder disintegrated and repackaged as Construction Materials.

Trading in Star Citizen is a Career that carries with it moderate to severe risk, but moderate reward and is most beneficial to a player who owns large ships which can transport large quantities of trade goods between one point in the universe to another.
